I had to go with the Challenger on this one. Honestly I can't stand the looks of the new Camaro, there is just something off about it's looks. GM also has this terrible habit of not doing enough market research and not marketing their products like they need to. Look at when they killed the Camaro and Firebird derivitives off in 2002. I think we were lucky that GM kept them around for that long. Speed and handling wise they destroyed the Mustang, but they were marketed poorly, had terrible fit, finish, ergonomics and aesthetics. Then this fiasco that GM is calling the GTO is another aborted attempt on GM's part to go after the Mustang. Yes it was faster, handled better, and actually had a great interior, but it looks like a jelly bean, albeit a wicked fast one. GM just needs to come out and hit this one out of the park. I mean GM was giving back huge rebates just to attempt to entice people to buy GTOs. Meanwhile Ford is selling every Mustang they can make. I have no doubt that the Camaro and (hopefully in a few years) Firebird wil pulverize the Mustang in most if not all performance tests, but if they release a questionable product or they fail to market it correctly they will loose that battle again. As far as I am concerned GM (and Mopar) have basically been playing catch up since the inception of "Pony Cars". With a few exceptions, I think the Mustang has outsold the GM and Mopar products by far. But that is just my $0.02 worth.
