I figured it'd be something along the lines of this series of engine.
The power numbers are good, and should make the V8 guys happy to know that they're going to be getting something pretty impressive as well. It wouldn't make sense to de-tune the LS engine and make it only 50 horsepower more than the V6.

Eww, that's gonna be expensive to upgrade the injectors.

Wonder what the comp. ratio is ???? Turbo friendly I hope. That would be killer, a turbo V-6 that comes stock w/ 300 ponies ( enough to make stang boys nervous ) and then to add a turbo. Even w/ a mild turbo set up, 450 hp is easily obtainable. This should make for a really potent V-8 car if the 6'er is pumping out 300 hp. Can't wait !!!!!

I'm betting 400-450 with the Z-28. If they make a SS it'll be in the 450-500 range.
That Direct injection V-6 is supposedly 11.6:1 So it's hardly turbo frienly... maybe for a low boost application, sure wouldn't be a damn bit of lag with that much squeeze though.
