Well time is getting closer, with anticipation of alot of information being released at the NY International Auto Show, what different packages do you think the camaro should have?
Personally, I think they should go all out, and get quite a few packages since this car is going to be a big deal for advertisement for GM, it wont be the biggest seller these days because of the Cobalt and other small economy cars, but they should have quite the stable of Camaro's to choose from SS - Probably the most obvious of the choices, with either the base or premium V8 they offer. Z/28 - Could be reversed with the SS, although as of late the SS has been more powerful, if its going back to its heritage, the Z/28 could very well be the premium V8 option with power and/or handling. Base Model - A Barebones V6 with just the normal stuff, add some options, but not too much to distract buyers from higher options. RS - A V6 version, but with an appearance package to make it look like the V8 for quite a bit less money ZL1 - A 427 with a ton of power, just a tad below the Z06 in speed since you can't kill the car above you, but have it very limited numbers, like 200 a year or so. This could be the moniker of the Camaro, the one that people drool over, and when they see one, they write home about it.

The Z 28 should be the stripped out version of the SS. Basically have every minor creature comfort be an option. A/C, cruise, and ABS the only standard equipment.

We don't need any more SS cars floating around.
I say RS (with maybe a Vortec), Z28 (LS2 or whatever premium V8 they want to throw in), and ZL1, and of course a base.

I agree with your SS statement grim, but they're getting rid of it on many of the other models, I would want the camaro to be one of the ones that keeps the SS badging.

SS is the premium model, they'll keep that badge on the Camaro I'm sure.
