YOU READY FOR THIS??!?!

DGtrials officially kicks off the 2008 season with another one of our world famous and delicious private day at the Nashville Superspeedway In-field Road-course!

We are going to be running our cars on an actual racetrack/road-course and we?ll be able to do it ALL DAY LONG.

Track Images

More photos of the track can be found here:
DGTrials' Gallery - Nashville Superspeedway (Road Course)

When: Sunday May 25th, 2008 (Memorial Day weekend!!)
Where: Nashville Superspeedway In-field Road-course
Time:
7 AM-8AM Tech
8:30 AM - Drivers Meeting
9:00 AM - Runs begin
Noon-ish - Birthday Cake
*********Drive till it they tell us to go home**********

Cost:
The track has approved special pricing for our event rental. The cost is around 1/2 of what we had originally expected.
We've made the decision to go ahead and pass the savings on to the participants of the event. If you were hesitant to do the event bc of the original price, this should no longer be as much of an issue. * hope *
The price is now $130 if you pre-register for the event and $180 if you choose to register the week of the event.

**** Pre-registration IS OPEN NOW! Paypal Address is: SALES@DGTRIALS.COM

Pre-Registration closes on May, 18th! If you PayPal after that, it will be $180. THERE WILL BE NO PAY AT THE GATE.

This event is NOT going to be a competition. THIS IS A PRIVATE DAY Each driver is allowed 2 crew members. Anyone else will be turned away at the gate.

Please keep this event private -- do not tell everyone you know, do not invite your whole family or your fleet of friends to come watch. We are able to conduct these days because they are extremely low key driver-based training sessions. If we continue to keep them that way, we will be allowed to continue to have them.

Again, we would like to stress that this event is open to all skill level drivers. We will have qualified instructors on hand to help with your technique, as well as car builders and crew mechanics to give pointers on car building and setup.

TANDEM!! TANDEM!! TANDEM!!

If you've got the background, and you fill out your petition, you might just get it!
Cage and firesuit required!

TANDEM PETITION

NOTES:

SA rated helmet is required! Because this is a racetrack; motorcycle helmets will not be useable

1. There will be a 40 DRIVER MAX. To make sure that everyone gets PLENTY of seat time. ONCE WE?VE REACHED THE 40 DRIVER LIMIT THAT'S IT.

2. ALL DRIVERS NEED TO ARRIVE AT 7 AM. If you are paid and do not arrive by 7AM, your registration will not be accepted. This will be 100% enforced.
3. We will be being very strict on being timely..that means...I say tech ends at 8:00, it ends at 8:00. We want everyone to get as many runs as possible!

4. Any goofing around, horseplay in the pit area and otherwise disrespectful behavior will NOT be tolerated and will result in expulsion from the facility with no refund.

5. General tech inspection guidelines --
a. Battery tie down -- you must have a strong battery tie down (preferably metal). Bungee cords are no good. Do not even bother getting in the tech line if your battery is not secured well. Battery boxes must be similarly secured.
b. Seat belts -- you must have a functional 3 (or more) point seat belt that is securely fastened.
c. Seat bolts -- make sure all your seat bolts are tight and present. You will not be able to drive with less than 4 bolts holding your seat to the chassis.
d. Lug Nuts / Studs -- you must have all lug nuts and studs per wheel. 3/4 or 4/5 lugs/studs fails tech. No exceptions.
e. Wheel bearings -- must not exhibit excessive play.

Drifting huh? I'll bring my CRX and my trays!

Honestly though, does anyone on the board Drift? If so by god bring a camera to that event!

There was a gent up in the North East region who ran his convertible automatic F-body, and he got really good, especially on the small-medium sized courses.

We would all love to see some more GM representation at these events. There are some blue oval guys that come out once in a while -- you all need to show them up!

I'm in the middle of the country, and my car's set up for the 1320 for the most part.

Too bad I don't' have 12 large to throw into another T/A right now and get it setup for sliding.

Yeah, it's tough. 1320 setups are not very conducive to anything but running the 1320. Owell... next time!
