Default Autocrossing

So who here likes autocross? I do it with a local club for shits and giggles, and i've got a meet this sunday, and im stoked. You know, you can only go in a straight line for so long until you wanna whip it around some turns

I get my ass handed to me every time by little 100hp imports, but thats how it goes.

I'd like to do it sometime. The SCCA used to hold events every sunday morning down the road from my house back in Rome, NY at the old Airforce Base but they don't anymore.

I'll try it one day.

Its awesome. I like it more than drag racing honestly. There is alot more user error in autocross. I hate to say it takes more skill, but I think it does.

Granted, our cars are not made for autocross, it doesnt really matter. Any car can autocross, we have old jag's and 2nd gen vettes, and all types of shit out there when I go.

Only thing is... it takes a shitton of experience to make something handle perfectly. Its easier to make it go fast in a straight line

Nice, looks like it was fun. How many people show up to the ones around you usually.

When they used to do them down the road from me there was a pretty big showing (around 50-75 cars)

EDIT: Moving to the Autocross forum

Nice man, Autocrossing takes a lot of skill, but when I upgrade to a TA or Formula in a year I'm gonna give it a shot.
