Depends on what your plans are. Plan on it being a nice DD with some pep in it's step? Autocross? Drag strip? etc.

Damn that car is COOL! I haven't seen one that clean since I was drooling on them when they first came out!
A taller rear end gear, headers and a high flow cat? That would give you some GO to go with your SHOW for sho! It'll never run 9's at the strip, but so what? Some of the coolest and most well maintained classic Chevys had 289's and straight 6s. The big blocks got used up and tossed like empty toothpaste. I guess the point I'm trying to make (before coffee) is that I'm glad to see someone with a v6 take pride in their ride.

Actually, there's a V6 Firebird that runs 8's.
The 3800s are starting to gain some respect. It's all a matter of how much are you willing to put into the car.(Music sucks ass)

Yep, the first one, because It's the only car I have. Although I have convinced my parents to let me drive the F 150 on days when it snows or the weather is bad, since I dont want to screw up the condition it's been kept in for 10 years. So what mods would you recommend doing?

I'd suggest headers next, they will drastically improve your sound quality. Then a high flow catalytic converter. From there maybe get a few suspension upgrades to improve handling. By the way, to find out what gears your rear end has, open the dirver's side door and look for one of the following codes GU4 (3.08), GU5 (3.23), or GU6 (3.42) and see if you've got G80 (Posi aka Limited Slip).

Ok. With the headers I was looking at pacesetters, but are there better ones out there? I have 3.08 without LSD, and I have a couple of questions... If I get 3.42s can I put in an aftermarket LSD? and how hard is it to install that and the gears? Sorry that I sound like a complete newb, but im still new to f bodys and having a car in general. lol

For the 3.8l you have 3 options with shorty headers:
1) Pacesetter headers- good headers, bad gaskets, problem can be solved with gaskets from Lance at Abbott Racing Heads. 90% of people with the 3.8l go with these. 2) RKSport- Various known issues with these headers. 3) Clear Image Automotive- More expensive than the two above, but people report a slight HP gain than Pacesetters or RKSport headers. Now, there's also now the option of Longtube headers by Force Fed Fabrications. You will need a custom y-pipe to be fabbed up by an exhaust shop if you want to connect it to your current catback. Also you will need to run 93 octane. Cost of these are $750. However, the first batch is just now being released to the public and will be shipped out in I believe 9 weeks from now. Current belief is that with these and full bolt ons you'd be putting 220 HP at the wheels. But as I said, just a belief, once the first batch is out and people have the chance to dyno these we'll see if that belief runs true. As for installing new gears here's a how to: Gear Swap Oh, and you can install aftermarket LSD, Zexel Torsen is a commonly used application. Don't every worry about posting a question on here. If you were to search some of my early posts, you'll find I was probably the least knowledgable guy on here initially. Remember, none of us were born with this stuff.
