I deleted your other thread that was similar to this one, since this one gives more info.

Be patient, and one of the guys who know the LT1's well will help you out.

It sounds like the coolant temp sensor in the front of the water pump. There is one sensor for your guage on the dash which is in the cylinder head. This displays the temp to you. The sensor in the water pump tells the computer what temp the motor is at. If it doesn't work, the computer will always think the motor is not fully warmed up and it will be excessively rich once the motor actually warms up. It will not start at all until the motor cools down. See if it may have come unplugged. If not try to drive it to a shop that can scan it for you while the motor is running. They will know right away, if it says the motor is at 140 degrees, when you know it is fully warmed up. It's under 20 bucks iirc.

Is the radiator completely fully ? Not the over flow indicator but the radiator itself .I had a very similar problem found had a small leak in a hose and my radiator was low. After filling it car ran normal again. Not sure if that helps but good luck.

Um..yes. If the rockers are too tight you will run into all sorts of problems. They should be tightened to 1/8th of a turn past zero lash.
