I have a Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind for sale, brand spanking new, I opened the box and checked to make sure it was all there. I read that my jacobs ignition box won't work on LT1s so I never put the mastermind on, now I'm thinkin about putting an FJO on it. Name a price and I'll see what I can do.

I understand that hitting it at partial throttle, or no throttle at all will potentially wreck your engine in some way. But is it IMPERATIVE? I know this is the second time asking it, but the guy up there said, no you don't.

In short: if nitrous is used only at full throttle, is the WOT needed?
If you're talking about what Phil said, hes speaking of someone whos used nitrous before.... alot. I'll be blunt. A push button nitrous system is for the movies. It is a terrible idea to use that alone on any car. All that has to happen is your hitting that little 'go baby' button, and your wheels spin instead of grabbing, and you peak out, and boom. It happens in under a second.

Yeah I meant someone who has been using nos for years. And I would probably only skip out on the wot switch if it was a car that I used only at tracks.

Even still for the eight dollars(or whatever it cost's) of insurance I would still do WOT switch and a fuel pressure switch ... Then if you wanted to, you could series your F & F switch in and have a couple of safety devices so you don't blow your motor. You will blow something otherwise...

I have a manual activation switch, it's nice to have it if your going heads up and you aren't sure you need the juice to win, that way you can use it just enough to pull ahead. Or if you were like me and were running "skinny" tires out back and couldn't get traction till you were rolling. Pressing a button is a lot easier than arming the system.

Crap unanswered questions, my bad.

Basically, do you wanna risk it? DO you honestly wanna risk ruining about 2000 worth of engine over a silly $20 part?
