Question oil pressure

my mom has a 94 camaro z28 the oil pressure seems to running low my question is what should the oil pressure run at normal operating temp (what's the lowest psi)

At idle if it's below 20PSI (Actual, not the dash gaudge) you need a new oil pump.

Lucas Oil additive is great for stabilizing and increasing oil pressure. I've used it on old motors a bit and it's done good so far. Though it's hardly a permanent fix one guy has treated it as such, 2 years later his car sill runs just fine.

Could also be that several or maybe just one rod bearing is not holding well enough, that will cause a fluctuation in oil psi. Aslo, the oil pump might be going out. You should under normal cruising be above 40 psi.

Careful with the Lucas additive though. While it does work quite well, it is very viscous, and too much can cause major problems, especially from gunk and buildup. I prefer Seafoam'ing it.

Agreed, too much can cause more problems than it fixes. I forgot about seafoam myself.
