Default Spittin and Sputterin

Hey Guys I have a problem here and im almost 100% positive that its the Opti but i just wanna make sure before i go and spend mad money on it.. When the car gets warm on hot days when you take off its fine then there is like a loss of power it seems like its sputtering... Struggling to get up to speed.... Opti or not? any feedback would help... Whole opti? Cap and rotor? what do i do... Its only on hot days when the car gets up to temp...

If you don't mind the advice from a noob....
Check the fuel pressure.
Filter, gas cap, pump, the whole fuel system.
I remember customers having this problem on older fuel injected chevys.
I could be wrong.
But hey, atleast you'll know more, or be more sure of a bad opti.

try a 6 oz bottle of LUCAS fuel treatment as well. Can't hurt. I love the stuff.

I personally dont like almost any of lucas's products. Especially their oil additive. Best thing i've found is Chevron Techron. That would clean up any lazy/stopped up injectors.

Have you checked your fuel filter? If not, take it out and blow through it, if it feels in the least bit like it has some restriction... replace it.

As per only doing it when the car is warm, that im not quite sure about. The two things I mentioned are cheap things to get you started in the right direction as per fixing the problem and figuring out what it is.

I have the same problem with mine but only on cold wet days...Im pretty shure mine is a sparking problem...I would check your wires and plugs to be safe, LT engines have flawed design in wire routing, being right under the exhaust manifolds and the electric distributer under the water pump...
