CAI Installation
I'm going to be ordering a K&N CAI in the next week or two and was wondering if anyone knows a ballpark price that most shops would charge to install the system?

Are you getting the lid type or the real tuck-in fender type CAI?

It doesn't specify, but this is the one I'm getting if it helps. (I'm still trying to get adjusted to working on modern cars)

Still doesnt tell me which one. I figure you'll have the LID type, which is really easy to install.
I got the fender type, that I had to make work for my car. Believe it or not, I used radiator hose from a super-deisel to make the neck.

Yeah, my guess is it is the lid when it says Easy Installation on the page, but you never know.

Oh ok, thanks guys. Hopefully I can find a reputable shop that will install it for a decent price. My old mechanic recently moved to South Carolina and my family had been using him for 15 years.

Shouldnt take any longer than 1hr labor. Especially if its the lid type, if its that, then like 30 mins.

For the amount they're asking I'd wager its' the Fender kind. But yea, 2 hour tops for install time.

Ok, thanks guys, I now know to bring my PSP with me when I have it done. Hopefully I'll get it ordered in about 3-4 weeks, I just had to get my visor replaced and next week I'm getting a new door hinge put in.
