hey guys,
so i have a 95 bird, 3.4L and the car is babied to shit..
problem is that everytime im on the highway, and im doing 100-120km.h my engine light comes on and the rpm's begin to jump all over the place, basically, its like my car is choking..

ive done everything, changed gas, fuel&engine cleaner, switched from 91 to 94 octane gas, new spark plugs and wires and its helped, but, it still comes on..

all i can think of is maybe its my speed sensor?

It may be an OBD1 car, but it should still be throwing codes. Have it scanned, because i'd be guessing in the dark with only this much info.

well thats pretty much it, its pretty much stock, its my show car..

Stock or not, I still need a code to relate what your are feeling so I know what the possibilities could be.

I will say that I had a Monte Carlo that did this same exact thing just prior to the speed sensor and crankshaft position sensor going out. They are both easy and relatively cheap fixes.

You may also want to check all of the wiring coming out of the control module under the hood. The one on the left wheel well.
