Default Engine stutters while accelerating...

Does anyone know why the engine/exhaust on a 98 v6 firebird would stutter when I accelerate? It just started happening today and it doesn't really do it when I slowly accelerate, but anything somewhat fast and it does. It makes the car sound weird and shake a little. The car never stalls and it doesn't feel like it's the transmission. Any ideas?

Thanks

Any codes being thrown? If not, i'd either suspect MAF or a vacuum leak.

I just bought a 94 V6 3.4L yesterday and I notice it stutters when I accelerate a littler harder/faster like when I'm passing someone. It gets to about the 23-2500 RPM range and stutters and then it kicks in and goes. I guess it might be more of a lagging issue...Any ideas?

It's more than likely just that your tranny is just working on shifting into overdrive.
