I was comparing products with a different site and must have grabbed the wrong one. - I grabbed "no air injection" over "one boss". My bad ... but if you look at the pictures just above the product listings... CarSound actually puts a boss right in the cat body ... and the V6 doesn't have one there. Ours is behind the cat, which is why I went with no-air over one-boss.

I can't check this morning, but climb under you car and feel the exhaust pipe behind the cat (not just after driving! ).. the O2 boss is in the pipe, not in the cat.

When I replaced my cat a few years ago (back when my car still had a cat - lol) -- I used a universal 3" Catco cat. It was only $50 or so at the time. - didn't have an O2 boss in the cat.

<--- Every V6 Fbody I've worked on.
<--- O2 in cat body... not a clue what car uses that, but I have been wrong before!

Just ordered Fast toys ram air, performance filter and whisper lid. Firebird phil, like you my car is also a DD and I also decided not to go with the fipk. So I was reading that it makes you car run 5-15 degrees warmer did this actually happen to you or is it a precaution because it blocks the radiator? I'm not really worried about it, i was planning on a new thermostat or a man. fan switch.

So we'll see how all this works, then next comes compete exhaust, made a rough estimate for all the parts ~$1500. Thats gonna be a killer, but i found someone to help me weld a few things for free.

With my DD 2000 Firebird, for induction, (and this is completely because we got bored one Saturday).

HomeDepot smooth bellows - $0.90 (3" PVC coupler)... and I think some pipe clamps
Smooth Lid (remove lid, break off tabs inside lid, grid down with air tool... reinstall)
K&N Filter (Pricey, but worth it)
"Fake Ram Air" - remove air box, cut hole in bottom of air box that allows air to come up from in front of the radiator using the factory "scoop".
And a handful of washers to raise airbox

I'm just too cheap to buy real horsepower mods.

I saw a little bit over 5 degree increase in temperature. WIth the K&N filter make sure you re-oil it every few thousand miles. I think it's every 5k but I'm not 100% sure on that, gotta check the box when I get home, for some reason 10k is also standing out.
