x2 I just did about 500 miles of highway driving this weekend and on filling up from 1/4 tank twice I spent almost $80.

I pay 334.xx for 6-months, full coverage $500.00 deductable collision, fire/theft, etc...
You have to remember that you are looking at a 10-15 year old car. The book value for it in mint condition isn't going to be much. A 4th gen LT1 car, will have ABS, anti-theft on the key, air bags, and traction control (optional), that will lower the rate a tiny bit too.
