Default Loose Windows - 98 Camaro

Ok.. Looks like I will be taking the door panels off to see why my windows seem to be flopping around.. Like there is too much slack between the inner and outer door panels. When the window is all the way up, I can push it out a little.

What should I be looking to adjust / tighten / replace while I have the door panels off?

Motors seem ok now that there is no window tint on the windows (removed due to bubbles). They were slow with the tint on and I plan to re-tint the windows.

I am just looking for some suggestions based on your experiences

Adding a few washers is what I've heard does the trick. Not 100% sure where to add them to because I haven't done this myself. But I'm sure you'd easily be able to figure out where they're needed.

Thats a toughie. It could be that your wheels on the runners arnt quite tight enough, or one has come off, as is often the case. Best way is just to take it apart and see what it looks like in there, and check in the bottom of the door for fallen pieces. Keep in mind though, with no A-pillar attached to the door, the window is always going to have a little play in it.

Thanks again

I will take a look. The driver's side is about double the play that the passenger side has. If I can, I will try to take some pics and post 'em up.

My drivers side window has fallen down at the front and the motor will put the window back up with a little assistance. Before I go in does anyone know of a window repair kit that would contain the rollers, etc. that I may want to replace??

As far as I know, the runners and rollers are probally OEM only (not sure). But the motor can be purchased at any parts shop usually. I doubt they all come in a kit.

Well.. I finally got around to the doors.. Looks the car may have been wrecked at some point. One of the window guides was broken an the others were worn out. I just went down to the local junk yard and removed what I needed from a couple of junkers for just a few bucks
