Well, if your really looking to do it right, you definately want to put an aftermarket cat on it. That makes the biggest difference in sound in a v6 i've seen so far. Also a set of headers wouldnt hurt.

But, back to the intake parts question, I personally went with the K&N FIPK CAI, which probally gives the best horsepower numbers, but even the ebay stuff which is going to be easily $100 cheaper, is only going to be a difference of a couple horsepower. So really it just depends on what you want. When I did it, I just prefer to go ahead and get the best while im at it, no use spending the money and being disappointed later.

Alrighty, thanks so much for the help buddy I agree especially with the part about getting the best while you're at it. From experience I've learned that 9 times out of 10 saving $100 now costs you $200 later .

EDIT: I think I found the part you're talking about, second one on the page.
http://www.racepages.com/performance...5&brandid=3387 I just wanna make sure it's a reliable CAI and that someone can recomend it before I go slapping it on lol. Thanks again so much for the help.

No problem man. Dont hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Oh, and the cat I recommend is called a "Carsound". It will make a WORLD of difference in the sound of your car.

Thanks again for all the helpful information, once I get the funds needed for these parts I'll order them. Should I go with the Carsound Cat and the TSP Rumbler for stronger sound?

Yep. Thats going to be the best results for a stock motor. Headers would also help, I recommend Pacesetter headers, but there is some debate on which is best, but I think those are most definately the best for the money.

I think you'll love the sound of just the rumbler and the cat though. Just remember as I said in the sticky, its NEVER going to sound like a v8, so dont get your hopes up that high.

Yeah, I know it won't sound like a V8, I just want it to sound powerful but not like a ricer .

They are always going to have a 'bit' of that ricer twang in there sadly

But even with my flowshitter exhaust on mine, I like the way mine sounds at idle, and except above 3,000rpm I love it

A good CAI to go with is one that SLP makes, but i think it is pretty expensive. I also have pacesetters, and havent had a problem with them.
