Yea just buy both at once if you can swing it and do one thing then the other. If the sparkplugs fix it then don't worry about it and get a refund. If its' the coil then it was the coil and it needed replaced. Just remember to gap those buggers to around .040 or whatever it says in your manual.

i have a 3.4 also and i had to get the head gasket replaced because coolant was getting into a cylider. it would run rough (the cylinder is skipping) when i first started it then as the cylnder dried it smoothed out. thats what it sounds like to me. and it was about $1000 to fix. o and mine also was only like that when it got cold out. hope this helped
