UPDATE: Well apparently that stroker kit isn't what it's cracked up to be anyways. A guy who got it had his crankshaft break after like a month. Still trying to find out if having NOS is legal in my county or not.

NOS = Nitrous Oxide Systems ( a Holley brand of N20)
That is like calling all motor oil Pennzoil.

Dude, it's not like a felony or anything to have NOS in your car. It's just a dumb traffic violation if anything. Some states are different than others. But it's just a vehicle infraction like a loud exhaust or dark tint, etc....
You say you can save like 3k for parts? Geez. Why not look at used car lots in the area for an LS1 powered beast. You can find them here and there for around 5G's if you look hard enough. A guy on nyspeed just sold his for 4500-5000 and it ran 12.10's. You'll be far ahead with a V-8 optioned car. I know modding a 6 is different and all, but a bone stock LS1 is a low-mid 13 sec ride.

Well the company I'm wanting to work for after college does background checks on all potential employees and is very strict on priors, the fewer the better. I already have a speeding ticket against me, last thing I'd want is to get a ticket for having nitrous in my car and then between the two the company nixes me out of the candidates list because they think I'm irresponsible. I'll get a WS6 soon after I'm done with college in about a year, for now my 6 is fine by me, plus I've had some great memories in there.
