Go ahead and return it. I hate to tell you that right after buying it, but those things actually decrease hp, not gain it. It limits the air intake, and has been known to actually cause motor problems due to running too rich.

then how come on the website it has all these good reviews, ppl saying they got more horsepower and saved gas. what is it all just a scam. if it didnt come with a money back guarentee i wouldn't have bought it. so i'll try it out for a few days first.

There are all different types of these things with tons of different names. Put it this way, if something like that, made that cheaply, actually worked, and gave you more horsepower / fuel economy, wouldnt the factory do it themselves? Or professional racers use them?
The whole idea around it is to make the air circulate, and the way they 'prove' that this will help and 'demonstrate' it is by doing it with water. While it DOES work with water and other viscous fluids, air does not do that. The whole idea behind air intakes and exhaust systems is more air in, more air out. The better your engine breathes, the more hp you're going to make. That thing does the opposite. |

Dont get me wrong, I understand thats its overall a good idea. But the placement is wrong.
For instance, the vortech system works similar to what this is supposed to do. By them adding a twist to the valve angle on the heads, and making the air rotate and move more rapidly, they gained 20hp to the motor. But the reason behind that is far different. Its because at the heads, the air is under heavy strain and you can force the air to do what you need using the right dynamics. At the intake, the air is not under that same amount of strain. And thus does not work the same. |

Bottom line is it's a scam.
The saying "If it's too good to be true, it is" is almost always true.
