Default V8 stock exhust for V6

Hey guys,

I want to do dual exhaust, pretty much for apperence and well to get a bit of a rumble.

So my question is, does the stock V8 exhaust fit on the V6?

and if so... any one have there old V8's exhaust?

if you looking for something for cheap just buy a flowmaster or something that sounds good with dual outlets at least it will be new instead of someone's old rusted v8 exhaust

yeah i'm not a big fan of flowmaster unless it's on a classic muscle car it just don't sound good on new age muscle cars IMO unless you have headers and true dual exhaust

I really cant discern if you're wanting true duals, or just dual exhaust.

The 'v8' exhaust systems are usually 3inch tubing. Which would require some welding and adapters to make fit on a 1.75inch 3.8 exhaust manifold.

I'd just go with the aftermarket exhaust system of your choice. You can get all different types and sounds. Check the FAQ sticky in the V6 section for soundclips on the different exhausts.

Would you guys recommend true duals?? Or just buying an aftermarket going into duals better/easier/cheaper? I just purchased an 00' v6 and was wondering if I should do a custom true dual setup?

Well, while true duals is cool, its quite tough to do. There isnt much room under there to route it. Not to mention you're forced into using bullet mufflers, which I personally think doesnt sound as good. I would just go with an aftermarket brand of your choice with a single inlet dual outlet muffler. The TSP Rumbler is a great exhaust system for the v6's. You can find that exhaust here www.texas-speed.com

250 bucks not bad. Saw a video it sounds good too. They didn't have a great pic of it, but does it come with the black tips? thats what it looked like in the pic. I'll probably pick up some stainless steel setups somewhere else.

Also i'm new to the site and i was lookin for a thread with just basic bolt on stuff induction, performance module..?? I don't want to start a new thread if one already has come up recently or its posted on a sticky.

thanks, Sam
