If they were the same price I would have jumped on that Formy. That's not a lot of miles on the engine considering I know of LS-1s that are DD and track day cars, have about 200K and don't use any more oil than mine does.

i got a V6 cause i needed a car really quick and my car was an awsome deal and couldnt let it go. 2001 Firebird for $6000 w/ 81k miles and no major problems. the kbb price was about 9 or 10k. i did downgrade my car (previosly had a V8) but, it does get better gas mileage.

Trust me, i've been through that. The love for computers fades, and the car will become much more important

haha so true, I've lost interest in the computer and want to put more time into my bird.
Anyways I got my bird because me and my dad were looking for a new car for me. He did a search for Pontiacs in the area and a 98 3.8 with a 5 speed showed up with 23k miles on it so we drove out and picked it up the next day and have been in love with it ever since.

I purchased the 6 because it was the only one I could get financing on... lol But, hey... nothing wrong with it I like it, of course it would be nice to have a LS1 in it, but, i will get a transam probably within the next couple years... I really want a 68 or 69... but, we will see how that goes as time goes on :P

Welcome to FBO.
I couldn't pass up the price for my V6 so I took it for a Daily Driver. Nothing wrong with starting out with a V6, but wait till that itch comes that makes you crave the V8 more and more

Yea my price was great. 00 with 49k miles 1 owner some old guy. No offense to any older members out there. But yea great shape solid nothing wrong aftermarket stereo and faceplate is really all that was changed. T-tops no leaks anywhere. 6grand i got the guy down to.
About that v8 ,it killed me to see the gas prices and killed me to buy a v6, but i had to be realistic, couldn't afford the gas, insurance, parts; nothing. Im gonna see what power i can pull outta the v6 without goin too crazy, but yea. Ive been itching for a v8 since I had my permit.
