Back where the driveshaft connects to the rearend you will see 4 bolts (2 on each side) that hold the drive shaft in. Just remove those 4 bolts than push the driveshaft forewards to remove it from the rearend yolk (if its stuck just get a big screwdriver reach up in there and gently pry it out) than just pull back on it and it will slide outta the tranny.

I managed to beat it out with a rubber mallet after trying to pry it out with a screwdriver, it just didnt want to give. wow, that was a pain. thanks for the help

Yeah if they have been in there very long they are a PITA. Good to hear ya got it !

Yeah, one step closer... the project is taking longer than I thought, having some financial issues but I cant wait to get it on the street. I found out the tranny is a short tail so I should have the money for the cross member/torque arm/ driveshaft saftyloop here soon. Unfortunatly it probably wont be running before the track closes for the season

I know how you feel! A friend and I were hoping to make it to the track before it closes but not gonna happen for us either. OH well alot of racing gonna be happening next year though!!
