i have a 305 tbi, and i just recently found out that i could put a carbureted manifold on it with a tbi adapter, but i noticed that my manifold has a steel line running into it that im not quite sure what it is... but i also noticed the carbureted manifolds dont have a place the thread that line in so i was wondering what it was and if it was possible to eliminate it before i go off buying an intake manifold that i cant use.. i currently have removed the smog pump, the A/C, and bypassed the heater core, and have removed all the smog lines, extra hoses, and that valve connected to the heater core hoses, so im not quite sure if the line running into the manifold is something i need, but i have added a pic, its the steel line running along the side of the drivers side valve cover into the manifold.. any ideas?

hey whats up man?... i appreciate ya lookin for me.. just did a little research at the pontiac dealership and found out that it runs to my brake booster, but that confuses me even more now because by all the pictures of the carbureted manifolds, theres no place to bolt it up..hmm? i would imagine that all of these cars be it tbi or carbureted would have that.. at least all of them above 87?
