Default Installing a shift kit

Anyone have any tips.... Im installing a TRANSGO shiftkit in my TH400. Should I attempt this myself or should I just take it somewhere? how much would something like that cost?

They aren't that hard. I would suggest doing it with the tranny out if possible. Maybe put in a stall converter while you are at it, 2 birds one stone.

2800 is a little kiddy stall. Make that beast rev! Seriously, having the tranny out makes the kit install a hell of a lot easier.

well it wont be seen much at the track until i get a strong rear in it and considering the 2800 was given to me i think it will work fine for now. I appreciate the help.
