New squeaky polyurethane bushings, is there a special lubricant?
I just set of bigger sway bars on my Firebird with the Polyurethane bushings, but now they squeak. Bad enough I cant hear it pretty well in side the car while driving. Is there a type of lube your supposed to use with these bushings? Any recommendations?

do they have a grease fitting ? If so, standard grease from a grease gun, pump it full till it comes out the sides, wipe off the overflow. If not, remove it, use a standard grease, wipe down the ends of the bushings, use a similar sized washer as a spacer over the greased area, reinstall.

No they dont have grease fittings. I will do as you suggested and see how it goes, I think it ought to do the trick.

Polyurethane bushing manufacturers advise to never use a petroleum based grease for poly bushing lubrication. Polyurethane should only be lubricated with one specific type of grease to insure a long bushing life, and squeak-free performance. Silicone based synthetic water-proof grease, the white sticky stuff!

If they are running poly bushings I hope thats what they are using. Although I have read many times where people have used just any grease they could find on the poly bushings and found out the hard way its not good on them.

Well I looked all over and I couldn't find a Silicon based synthetic grease but so went with the closest match. I put on some pink synthetic grease made by Mobil 1 and that quieted everything right down. So its good to go for now.

^ good, glad that helped out. If I were you, sneak a peek at them every time you change your oil. I lube mine up about every 3-4 thousand miles and it seems to be a good interval for me.
