A TBI to TPI swap can be kinda costly. You will need the TPI setup, the TPI intake, the computer, wiring harness and sensors. You will also need a TPI fuel pump. You could be looking at about $1000 or so unless you find a complete donor car with all the parts you need.

You'll also need a new throttel cable because the one that is in your car isn't long enought to reach the throttle body at the front of a TPI motor. TPI is great if you're looking for a lot of torque, but the horses are a little more difficult to come by because it is kind of restrictive unless you go with one of the aftermarket style TPI systems like the HSR. I'm running a TPI 383 and enjoy what I've got...then again...I'm not trying to be the fastest thing on the road either. If you got to TGO you can sometimes find good deals on folks that swap out their TPIs for another system. Overall, it's really not a bad system...just old but a good one for younger folks getting into fuel injection. HTH.
