Choo Choo Customs, recently bought out by Conversion Van Company 'LA West', created several distinct and rare cars over the course of 1986-1992 known as the Pro/Am-I, Pro/Am-II, Bandit I, and Bandit II. No modifications were done to the drivetrain, but appearance was highly altered. Pro/Am's received a non-functional cowl hood, Razzi Body kit, aftermarket wheels, wood-grain trim interior, and two-tone paint. The Bandits received a limited# golden name plate, Razzi Body kit, Shaker Hood Scoop, and a "Smokey the Bandit" 2nd gen Firebird hood decal. Only 500 Pro/Am's were created each year between 1986 and 1989, and 500 Bandit's had been made each year between 1991 and 1992. They only converted Formula's. (I know this stuff cuz I once owned a Pro/Am-I
)

The Firebird/Camaro was about to lose its wings and bowtie in 1987. But instead, GM cancelled the "GM80 Program", which had the goal of developing a plastic-bodied, front wheel drive car to replace the F-body.
