does anyone know where to get wheel spacers for a '88 firebird? i look all over the internet but couldnt find any for a firebird.

Mr. Gasket makes the universal 10 hole ones that fit a variety of bolt patterns. They are not legal if you plan to race your car at the track, but the tech guys will never notice them either.

I bought a set of adapters off ebay...
adapters actually bolt to the hub/rotor, and then the wheels bolts to the adapters. This makes them much safer to use.

What size are you looking for?

To be completely honest, I wouldnt even drive a vehicle that has spacers or adapters. They are dangerous as all hell, especially if you're trying to do more than just drive it.

why are they dangerous, i think it would give it better handling.

They do not allow for complete tightness and centering when tightening lug nuts. It is very common for a wheel to come off when spacers are used. Also, you will most likely need an alignment after putting on the spacers because the contacting part of the tire is in a different area.
