i was looking at shift kits for my automatic transmission in my ws6, transgo actually makes a shift kit for it,what do you guy's think about putting in a shift kit? has anyone on here done it to there's

I haven't, but from what I've heard transgo and B&M make good ones. Also heard that using HP tuners will do the job.

I put the transgo kit in my 2nd 4L60E. It shifted hard and lasted me about 3 months, then the tranny was toast. It wouldn't hold any power, I could cruise with it but as soon as you got on the gas hard, the tranny would just slip and the car would rev and go nowhere.

i was thinking along the lines of a good shift kit and some gears. like i said in an earlier thread when i romp on the gas and lightem' up as soon as second gear kicks in it dog's out

Has any one else had problems with the tranny going out once a shift kit was installed. That was one of the mods I wanted to do to mine as well. I won't if the tranny goes out.
