Default Air Intake modification

Has any one tried the air intake modification off of the Install University? It is the cheap mans Cold Air Box. I just did mine but have not taken it out to see if there is a difference. I figure if it doesn't work to my liking I will have an excuse to get a Cold Air Box system.

I can tell a little bit of difference on take off and passing. What a great mod for just a little investment of time.

Any ideas what this would do for the V6 engine on a '98 Camaro?

Not really sure, have not talked to any one that has tried it but it should work the same way. More cool air. Stands to reason I guess. If you do it will you please post the results?

It'll give a slight gain, but won't get the same results that an aftermarket lid would yield.

i have an aftermarket lit (MTI) and i felt a little gain. but i also did the maf housing mod, which i think was the biggest part of the gain i felt. i would really recomend you do the maf mod if you havent already
