i wish i had the funds to do a cam swap, but for now i've really been looking into installing some headers and a new intake and TB,and MAF just to wake up the ls1 alittle, the bolt on's are small horsepower gains but every little bit counts

Yeah but the good thing is that the bolt ons start adding up to good gains.

Typically. Major motor mods. But a dynotune is going to help regardless of when you do it. Just signifigantly more with major mods.

I tuned my own car. After my cam install I saw 15WHP without the tune, and gained another 5 with peak, but gained up to 30WHP under the curve, and my AFRs were much safer.

If your gonna do a cam swap do heads and a cam. Trust me, you'll want heads after the cam, we all do.

Some aftermarket intakes have a spot for the EGR, some don't.

Right now just grab the headers, do a full exhaust, and work on the bolton aspect of your car. That kind of stuff is "easier". Though headers are still a bitch.

if i sell my other trans am i'm taking the money and doing heads and cam on my 2000,i going to do headers before summer and maybe have my TB ported and polished with a new MAF.

i keep hearing mixed opinions on how much of a pain it is to put on a set of headers and which brand of header is a direct bolt on with out having to cut notch's in stuff
