F-Body audio
Hey guys, I still have 1k and apparently the mods I was going to add to my air lid and magnaflow will exceed that, so on to audio. Does anybody have any ideas about F-body audio set-ups? The trunk space is tiny, so i'm thinking one top of the line 15" or 18" sub-woofer.

Tiny? Dude there's room for 3 10'' subs. And a Amp Rack. And still room for your T Tops.
Camaro vehicle specific sub enclosures
I still say you need to go elsewhere for your exhaust. A $100 lid and a $500 catback does not equate into $1000 worth of mods. Stay away from that muffler shop.

There's some more underdrive accessories pulleys. Though f you go for a sub then don't bother, you'll kill your battery.
A good sound system needs good components, this is especially true in a Fbody. Front doors adn rear sidepannel are all 6 3/4" And lots of depth for them. You can get some killer sound without getting a sub.
And a 15? Are you sure you want that? If all you listen to is Rap and bass heavy Dance music than a 15 might be best. But if you listen to anything faster, like Metal or hell, country, your gonna want a 12" woofer or smaller. A 15 can't keep up with a bass drum that well, and thusly farts.

I'm way away from that muffler shop, my wife's dad is teaching me a how to for dumbies course. As far as the trunk space goes, I want hard low bass, which means the trunk space will have to be utilized to a max. Small cabinets produce heavy punch, I want lows. As far as components go I'll definitely upgrade them with top of the line stuff. I have infinity mids and components in my economobile with jl audio subs and it sounds great.

So I stuffed my foot in my mouth again. I talked to an audio expert and I was informed, that I need to listen first, and talk second. Now, my question is which is stronger, the new JL audios vs the new boston acoustic 12" speaker. The guy told me the jl's were stronger, but I've found conflicting information online.

Both JL and Boston Acoustics don't impress me at all. JL used to just plain stomp. And for their price, Boston acoustics honestly suck. My old setup was a pair of 10" W3s from 1990.
If your on a rather tight budget try H I F O N I C S
If money is no object. ALPHASONIK or MTX

Ok, here's the deal with Texas Speed. They will mail you the catback system, you just receive it and either bolt it up yourself, or have it welded up at a muffler shop. Honestly all you need is a crecent wrench, a can of penetrating oil, and a curb.

I've always liked Alpine and Pioneer. MTX is great for the subs.... But, every speaker sounds different to everyone.... So, best thing you can do, is hear some different speakers.... (try to remember that when you get the speakers in your car, it will sound a ton better than in a building).
I've never really liked Rockford, but, i heard some 12's a few weeks ago that wanted me to change my mind... so, its all on the speaker and how your mind can hear the music coming out of it. Every person is different... Its almost like using an equalizer... what i like, the next person might not like. If you like JL, go with them Just pick one and go with it...
If it blows, then you know not to use it the next time... Speaking of that, i've blown Infinity, Pioneer and a few other cheap subs... the only ones that i have not blown was the Aplines that i have now... And i have had them for a few years... They sound good to me, and thats all that counts
