Default fuel injectors

what kind of results can i expect from upgrading my injectors? someone told me to go with #42 injectors should i do this when replacing my stock intake with a lsx intake

Expect your car to not run without proper tuning. Those kind of injectors are good to over 600 HP on normal fuel. Now, if you were running E85 (Like I do now) they'd be good to about 400hp even (giving you a 80% duty cycle when brand new) Like I said earlier though you'll squirt huge amounts of fuel into your car with the stock settings on the ECU. If it idles at all it'll be a miracle and you should then promptly go to a dyno and get it retuned to safe levels. For now your injectors are fine, just watch the duty cycle and if they get near 95% its' deff time for an upgrade. And while you do that, might as well get a bigger fuel pump as well.

thanks for the input. the person that told me to use those injectors thinks he knows everything about cars and he does'nt even own one but he means well

Basicly injectors aren't a performance mod, they are a requirement when you start getting into the higher power levels.
No need to upgrade unless you require more fuel.

Exactly, unless the ones you have now are pooping out on you and you have BIG plans, don't' bother with something that substantial. Use the second smallest injector you can get away with.
