I thought this was the warhawk block
There was a thread on LS1tech about a 500cu in and the short block was 14k.I searched for the thread but can't find it.I used to have there web site.

I am not sure if they've announced it yet, but heres what I got from SEMA:
480+CID Standard Deck or 500+ Tall Deck. I dont see where they have announced an actual sizing yet though.

so itll be like the other LS platforms in that you can intermix parts from different codes? (LQ4=LS2 etc.) or will this require LS7 parts or have its own entire aftermarket?

no matter what the answer is...i think i found an engine for my project car

Heads might require workign over for the added displacement and that's it. Everythign else will probably jsut bolt right up like it would on any other big bore LS block.
