Default Plugs and wires

I just purchased a 2002 Trans Am WS-6 with the LS-1. Does any one have a suggestion on what plugs and wires you have had the best performance out of?

For a mostly stock motor...the stock wires are fine. The resistance isn't high enough to make s difference over that 6-7 inches the spark travels.

For the plugs, you will hear 3 different opinions.
NGK TR55's (what I use)
Autolite
Delco replacements

Default Wires and plugs

I was wondering if a larger mm wire would make a difference and if hotter plugs will make a difference. I know it is all computer controlled but I did not know if any one had done it and it had made a difference.

I agree with Slowass mostly.

I like the NGK TR55's or the ACDelco replacements for a stock motor (im not much on autolites though).

As said before, as long as the wires are in good condition, and the correct resistance, stock is fine.

Once you get into the 400-500 WHP club look at upgrading your ignition, below that, plugs.

I personally Run Brisk Racing premium ZCs in the 14 heat range. Honestly they are some of the best plugs I've ever used IMO. ( I run nitrous, you might wanna run a hotter plug)

Unless the stock ignition coils or wires are giving you fits don't' bother upgrading. It's not going to give you the gains your looking for especially considering the price.

Thanks for the advise. I talked to a guy this past weekend and he said the stock plugs and wires do just as good as spending the extra money and not getting any thing for it. I am having to be tight right now. He does not own a T/A but he is a performance nut.
