Default Slipping clutch

But get this...only at part throttle.

Master = updated GM
Slave = updated GM (spaced out with the SPEC provided spacer)
Just rebleed to make sure that wasn't it.

Flywheel = stocker (machined)
Clutch = Spec 5

It holds perfectly fine under WOT into 4th gear. Barks the tires and no slip.
But if I punch it from 2500 RPM's or so in 3rd, 4th, or 5th it will spin up like it has a stall then grab in the upper RPM's.

Now...the engagement point on the pedal is literally right at the top. Not even an inch of movement to disengage.
Everything seemed fine up until recently. 3500 miles on the parts.

Could the flywheel have been machined too much?? I made the mistake of not getting an exact amount taken off.
What is too much?

Thinking about trying a SPEC billet steel on it to see if that does it. Good idea? Bad??

Any other ideas?

WEll isn't 2500 when your motor uncorks? I think you might have had too much machined off like you think but it doesn't really add up. Unless your meaning if you mash the throttle form off idle versus doing it at a roll in that gear at that indicated engine speed. Perhaps going at it form a dig either heats the clutch up enough to grab or it's the drive train moving a little to help the clutch make mor contact, or a combination of both. Either way to me it does sound like you did machine too much of the fhywheel away.

Whatever you do don't get a lightened one like I did. I'm not particularly happy about it but, it shifts fine so untill I replace the entire motor that thing is staying in place.

Ordering a SPEC billet steel one once I get my return. Should be anytime now.

Motor really lets loose at 4200 RPM's. But does well under that too.

It is fun.

Wonder how long the flywheel swap will take.
Thinking 2 hours if we go start to finish.

Took me three when I did mine, on a car lift. Then again this was also hunting down metric tools in a highschool shop, and bleeding the hydraulic system again.

Man I feel sorry for you, I hated working in a highschool shop. Can never find a damn tool when you need it, and always got a wise ass trying to tell you how to do this and that, yet that guy knows as much about cars as a table.
