Default SS Exhaust

Does anyone have any info on exhaust cutouts for A 2001 camaro SS i took it to my local shop and they told me about clearance problems when installed (like scraping the ground and such) Any truth to this? has anyone else had problems? Any suggestions?

Apparently they think that they need to put the cutouts just south of your exhaust collectors and point them downwards. Though that is the optimal setup in a way you don't need to point them down. At your current power level a single cutout just north of your muffle would probably be best and give you the best ground clearance. If you just wanting to be loud grab some LTs first. A cutout on the stock log manifolds sounds like crap. And get yourself a cam, can't sound mean without a lumpy idle.
