Hi,

I just joined this forum and I have been struggling for a while now to find out what hoods fit on what years regarding 2nd gen firebirds. I have a 77 Firebird Esprit but I want the 76 Firebird Formula hood on it, or at least the scoops it has.

I heard one source say 70-76 interchange and 77-81 interchange, another source said 70-79 were all cleared to swap.

Does anyone know if and how this might be possible?

You're talking about the hood with the twin scoops correct? If so then this site says they will fit.

The hoods will not fit, 70 will fit to 76, 77 will to 81. The hoods are flatter on the later years.
