On second gen f-body cars which fits best with the least amount of interference (with other parts) the H pipe or the X pipe?

I've heard with the x pipe you will have to do some modification because it hits the cross member or some part like that.

I'm not positive on 2nd Gen's but obviously it is possible.

Do you know which brand you're going with, or is it going to be custom fabricated?
Check out Pypes Exhaust. I got a set and they're great Mandrel Bent pieces.

Hi Rocket 442,

I've been looking at the magnaflow exhaust systems with the x-pipe (basically the same as the pypes version) and the flowmaster system with the H pipe. I would really like to have the X pipe but don't want to go in that direction if it's is going to cause more headaches than it's worth. Essentially, I'm looking for a clean fit.

My other dilemma is the sound of the mufflers that come with the systems. Although I'm not a big Flowmster fan, I prefer the sound of the American Thunder 50 series Delta flow over any of the mufflers from Magnaflow or Pypes. I have 10.5:1 compression so anything I get will be louder than it would be on other cars.
