Yes when we get our new motor installed we will probably go with a larger tire, maybe a 30 inch tall or so, but it depends. We will probably have a shorter set for the 1/8th mile tracks and a taller set for the 1/4 mile tracks.

Well the new motor is almost on the way, it is paid for. In the end it was still my wifes car and she decided she wanted chevy power. We have a 540BBC 14.5-1 compression being built right now. It will be putting out between 875 to 895hp and is plummed for a 250 shot of nitrous. I doubt we will ever use the nitrous but it is there if we need it. It was a hard decision to go with a drag motor over s street motor but she choose to be able to easily run 9's on motor alone and sacrafice the ability to have a true street car. We debated between that and a 10-1 695hp motor and running nitrous to get there and she choose to go all motor. Now all we need to finish the car is one heck of a transmission, a 4 link or similar, a full roll cage, a drag seat, lots of safety devices and god only knows what else. We will probably have the car stripped down to bare metal and painted the same color, the underside and all parts cleaned and powdercoated and who knows what else. She decided to go all out on this car so thats what we are doing. This will not be a show car though. It will be thourogly thrashed on the track. Hopefully it will be ready to go by feb of next year. We are going to run it the way it is with nitrous in the meantime. Once the new motor is here we will be selling the Buick 455 and trans along with all the little things that go with it. Of course that wont even begin to touch the cost of the motor she bought.

Did I leave out the fact that my wife gets whatever she wants no matter the cost? I of course will still be running my petty little 4banger at the track. I have yet to test it out this year but it should be right at the 11.1 second range right now. I have a much better intercooler, a bigger throttle body, a ported intake manifold, and a whole slew of little things still on the way to make sure I get in the 10's. Of course I will be running high 10's and she will be running mid to high 9's without the nitrous. I dont even want to know what she will run if she decideds to ever use it. She may let me drive it if I am good though. I mean all I am doing is building the thing.

Yanno, if the compression was a bti lower you might have been able to run it on E-85 on the street and strip, though have to put something a bit hotter in there if you ever wanted to spray.
