i saw people at the track with a 78 t/a, 496bbc with bigger slicks than me, running 10's on a good day with a stock rear, 3.90 gears, and launching at 4k with a trans brake....had the rear for 4 years plus now

I agree. That stock carrier just cant handle that much tq. Especially if you're getting it to the ground with slicks.
