Default What color stripes on RS?

How do you find out what color stripes your car is supposed to have? I have a 1975 RS, black over white. The owner before me painted it a crappy red color. I don't know where to find a paint/stripe chart. There are about six different color stripes.

i dont know the technical way but if your painting the original color you need to sand it down anyways right well once you sand it down you see the original colors and back then it was simple gm only had like 20 colors for all ther vehicles then you can go to your local auto paint shop and back then they didnt have 6 different tones of the same D@MN color so so say it green look in 1975 for a color green and itll say in the paint book what code they need to mix and what gm code it is?!

I already know what the paint color is. Black on roof, hood, top of fenders and top of doors. White everywhere else. What I need to know is how to find out what color stripe separates the two colors. There's about six different ones. The previous owner peeled/sanded them off. I'm leaning towards orange/red even though that might not be right. Thanx for the info though.

ahhhhh! d@mn it how do i delete my post that was useless information kinda like knowing why wet objects look darker than dry ones (the useless answer: the properties of h20 or water actually traps out the suns rays, light thu its reflective properties thus less light bounces of the object making a wet object looking darker than a dry object!!! and thats amazing?)
