When I go to start it it takes 5 - 10 sec to start. If I go to start and try for 5sec and stop and keep trying by the third or fourth time it starts right up. I took it to chevy and one of the techs said that the fuel press is off and it's either the fuel pump, regulator, injectors or filter. This is my first firebird and never worked on one before. Are any of theses pretty easy to do my self? Thanks everyone, I appreciate it.

Sounds like the fuel pressure is bleeding off after you shut the car off. Try starting it like this:
Turn the key to the ignition position. You should hear the fuel pump turn on behind you. Wait 4 or 5 seconds for it to get the pressure up into the line. Then crank it over. Getting the fuel pressure checked is easy. There is a schrader valve on the rail (just like a tire), and the guage hooks up to it right there. When the car is running it should NEVER drop below 45 or so. After you shut it off it should take hours for it to bleed down.
