Default Addition of Positraction

I have 3.23 gears without Positraction and I'm running 16.9's @ 80MPH. I was thinking of having them converted to positraction. Do you think this could help my times enough to get me into low 16's.

What kind of 60' times do you run? A 3.73 ring and pinion probably wouldn't hurt, either. Post your whole slip, 60's, 1/8th mile, and all that.

Well, LSD is only going to help if you're not getting traction in the first place. Granted, the ring and pinion will definately help though.

It takes alot for the v6's and 305's to need posi. I didnt get a posi for mine until I got nitrous, and only because i'd spin through 1st and 2nd. Before that, it would take effort to spin enough to matter lol. The curse of the v6.

My open reared '88 with a 305 and 2.73s would light the passenger side tire right up with little effort. 3.73s and an Auburn differential were the best pair of parts I ever threw at that car.

That's exactly what happens.

The best time to get posi is when you change your gears, you've got the works open anyway, go ahead and spend the extra couple of bucks and get posi done.
