Default adjustable panhard bar

what's the difference between a regular and adj. panhard bar besides the fact that ones adjustable and one is not. what purpose does it serve? i want to replace mine cause it's looking old. what would be the best choice?

The purpose of an ajustable pan-hard bar is to allow you to center the back of the car over the rearend. For example if you lower your car with a stock pan-hard bar on it will push the body of your car to one side so one tire will stick out farther than the other side. With an ajustable pan-hard bar you can realign the body of the car over the rearend so both tires stick out evenly on each side. When I lowered my car I had to adjust mine almost 2 inches to center it back up.

Check out the suspension section of the parts catalog. We have a variety of Spohn Panhard Bars. Adjustable, Spherical rod-ended, etc. take a look.

OK a few items to consider when discussing Spohn vs. UMI.
#1 UMI is a cheaper knockoff of Spohn. Spohn has:

#2 Better welding
#3 Better Powder coating
#4 Better Material

Better customer service? I don't know about that. Spohn is a small well run operation and we have never had any issues in terms of customer service. As far as pricing goes, yeah UMI is cheaper, but I think that comes out in the wash in terms of quality of the product, but if you are happy with the UMI product what else can you ask for? We are trying to make sure that we offer a variety of products regardless of whether we think we'd use a particular product in our shop. However, there are certain limits that we won't cross and this is one of them. Will it change in the future? Maybe, but not likely. if you have Spohn in your car now and you are going to go to a cheaper product well that just doesn't make much sense.
