Default Air Conditioning and Elecrtic Cooling Fans

This is blowing my mind! I have an 88 Trans Am everything works on it except the cooling fans and the AC. I can get both of them to work but not the way it is supposed to. In order to get the cooling fans to work I have to ground the high pressure switch of the AC system, I know it sounds crazy. To get the AC compressor to work I have to disconnect the low pressure switch. I have traced alot of wires trying to figure if some where something got crossed bt everything looks to be pluged in right. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you checked the belts?

It sound like to me that there is a bad ground connection check all connection and clean them, I have come across connection that may look good and just touch wire to find out it was broken.

You may have a possible relay causing your issue. Check coolant fan relay or it can be the high or low pressure switch. Not sure if you have this because it was a optional item in firebird. Check the power train control module this works with fan A/C pressure switch and is connected with coolant fan relay and aswell as the A/C compoment like the compressor clutch and the pressure switch.

I hope this will help you.

Good luck
