Exclamation Bulb Burning Out!

The passenger side running/turn signal bulb on my 2001 firebird keeps burning out.
I have pretty much replaced every bulb in the car because of the 92k miles, got it at 89k.

I replaced this bulb though 3 times. I put the 3rd one in thursday, go to drive home from a friends friday night and its burnt out again! Burning out in one day, theres gota be a problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

mine does the same thing on my 97....i would say try to clean out the port, as there might be a bunch of gunk in there causing it to heat up, and then i would put some of that light bulb lube on the bulb, and in the port...if that doesnt work then you could always try another port...they are fairly easy to install...see how cleaning and lubing works first and post results

Default Water leak through the Lens.

I have had some luck drilling a hole in the bottom of the lens to let water out.

Fyi - When installing a bulb, in particular a halogen or high heat bulb, do not put your fingers on the glass part of the bulb. The oil from your skin can coat the glass and make it get hotter and burn out the filiment. However, I doubt this is your problem. Check your fuses to see if your turn signal resistors are burnt out, because they are what stop a power surge or flux to pop a bulb.

^ great advice.

use dielectric grease in the socket, just a tiny dab, don't get that or fingerprints on the bulb as stated above.
