Hey guys, im new on here but i reallylike this site, neways. i have a 2000 firebird with the 3.8 liter v6, im pickin up a flowmaster 80 series this week but my old exhaust is welded in. is there a way i could cut out my exhaust now without damaging the car and use the clamps for the flows this is all because i dont really have money to throw around for installation because imonly 17, but I am handy with tools and im not mechanically challanged so i just need alittle guidance on how i should go about it thanks a bunch

welcome fellow newbie.

Exhaust eh? what turns you on to the flowmasters? aren't u worried about the ricey sound at high rpms's.

I looked a lot into exhaust and i saw that cams with headers make a mean sound.
Even though thats not the easiest mods.

Welcome man, I took the muffler off of my 84 GMC when I was 14, but I had tons of space to work with on that. My best advice is to be careful and don't screw up.

And as Collinoflcp said, if you want a mean sound out of a V6 go with headers and a cam but if you lack mechanical experience you'll definately want someone with experience there for the install of those two parts.
