Sounds stupid, right? Just picked up this Berlinetta over the weekend. Title is being located, in a not-so-organized house (may be awhile). I'm pretty sure it's an 82-84 but have no way of knowing. All I have is the trim-tag in front of the radiator. VIN tag (drivers side, bottom of W/shield) is very rusty and can't read unless W/shield is taken out. Sticker on drivers door unreadable. I'm needing to buy parts, and while I doubt that one year difference will hardly matter on most parts, others it may. I'm not computer savvy, at all. I CAN attach pics using MY mail page. Have several I can send. I've not seen this front end on any other Camaro's I've been looking at the last two days (online). Between the headlights are three rectangular slits. Is this something only on the Berlinetta? It WAS a V-8 car, with an automatic. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Respond here or to my E-mail (so I can send pics), robjuicer@when.com

this is exactly what my 85 camaro was 8th digit was "h" for the 305 v8 and it had the POS electronic needle adjusted 750cfm quadrajet (JUNK!) but they only made the berlinetta from 82-86 and was the base model with a few exceptions, berlinetta model was gm's lame attempt in making the camaro "more luxgurious" but none the less they had SOFTER springs they sat slightly higher than base coupe and alot higher than the z28's most all berlinettas had the luxury cargo cover for hiding the stuff in the trunk pan, all them had what was considered upgrade radios compared to stock back in the 80's they also had the unique hood with the 2 blank hood vents, not like the louvered z28 but yet was not all flat like the base model to narrow the years down 82-84 had the 650cfm basic rodchester car with no electronics, 85-86 had the electronic carb, they aslo had a high ratio steering box (WHICH I HATED) it felt like i was driving someones grandmother station wagon it was like 15:1 on the berlinetta verses the 13:1 on base models and z28 and iroc had the 12:1 ratio if they had the 1le package and on the 85 and 86 models there was an optional digital gauge cluster only available on the berlinettas, HOPE I HELPED... let me know your progress sounds like a cool car! MY E-MAILS : camaro_dudex67@yahoo.com send some pics of it i might be able to get a better idea anything help, motor, interior and exterior pics !
